The Museum of Modern Filipino Art (MoMFA) begins with a dream and the land on which to build it.  To stand proudly on historic Mount Samat in Bataan, its goal is to showcase the best of modern and contemporary Filipino art and to instill in future generations an abiding love and pride in their cultural heritage.  Aside from the structure that will preserve and display the art collections, activities such as exhibits, competitions and workshops are being designed for the MoMFA dream to come to fruition. By doing all this, we acknowledge with gratitude that man’s innermost aspirations and his very ability to create art emanates from the Divine Creator Himself.

From running a successful pharmaceutical business to taking the local art scene by storm, this mother of four is simply unstoppable.  From her initial forays in painting as well as in creating sculptures in resin and brass, Marge Organo later became fascinated by glass sculpture and enrolled at The Studio of the Corning Museum of Glass in New York in 2015.  After being part of several group shows and holding her first solo show at the Ricco Renzo Gallery in quick succession, this prolific artist debuted at ManilArt 2017 where she was cited as one of “The 8 Notable Artists” of the year.  In keeping with her momentum, Marge already has three exhibits scheduled for early 2018.

Her works are proudly displayed in the residences and offices of avid collectors in the Philippines, the United States and Europe.  Not one to rest on her accomplishments, Marge relentlessly seeks to perfect her craft.  She is the first Filipino to be accepted at the Secondary School of Glass Making in Kaminecky Senov, the Czech Republic – the oldest glass school in Europe and the world.  In March 2018, she is scheduled to train there in new techniques with other artists from Germany and the US.  She then plans to proceed to the international glass convention in Murano, Italy, where she has been invited as a member of the Glass Art Society, which counts its members from around the globe.
